This center is really nice and well kept. I first thought the prices were really high, but considering the location, the prices are average. My child started here when at the age of 2. Within the first week of starting, my child was fully potty trained. Also, I must say my child is much more advanced that other kids in my family. The curriculum they use is AWESOME! |

Provider: Tutortime NYC | Child's Age: 2 |
In NYC daycare costs are about $475 a week or $1800 per month. Hours are 8A - 6P Nannies are $12-15 per hour per child ...average $700 per week or $2400 a month. NY does not have subsidized UPK. Also you have to earn under $25K as a single parent or $50K as a couple to qualify for govt subsidized programs where your daycare would be about $50 a week or $200 per month. However there is a year or more waitlist. Most middle class parents pay more for daycare than rent/ mortgage! If you are Upper Middle Class and make over $200K as a couple & pay an average of $5k per month in rent/mortgage, your daycare costs will be about $2400 per month |

Part-time before/after care. Breakfast is provided daily. Numerous activities are set up for the end of school day to keep children active. Caregivers also help with homework. This is a great program at a great price! Paid $550/month + $64/month membership fee at the local Y and was not impressed! |

Provider: Kinder Kastle | Child's Age: 4.5 & 1.5 |
Both of my children have gone to this D/C since they were infants. However, now I'm thinking after this year (our 4.5's last year there), we may pull our 1.5 y/o out. They charge $50 registration fee every Sept. (I saw most other places in our area charge $40), PLUS all 3.5-5 y/o classes have to pay an EXTRA $50 in September & then ANOTHER $50 in January for so-called "learning fees". On top of this, they are raising the prices this year. Which would make our monthly payments (withOUT the 3 extra fees) about $1850/month. |

I hope someone can help with this topic. I am a SAHG-grandma. I need to be paid to watch my Grandchildren. I want to know how much people have paid for infants, toddlers, preschoolers. I take them to playgroups, nursery school, museums, every week we do a learning experience and a playground. Plus, what I do with them everyday. In spent is what I am paid currently. |

We have gone down in price every year. As an 11-month old (first enrolled) we paid $1070/month. We're down to $809 for Pre-K (same school). In-home daycares in our area are cheaper, but we were more comfortable with a reputable center. |

Excellent home daycare. I have two children enrolled and $700.00 a month. The centers would charge me on average about $920.00 a month for two and they don't do night care. They have flexible hours and does weekend care if ever needed. |

Kindercare sucks. My son hated it. Way too many kids with not enough one on one attention. Cried when we dropped him off and ready to leave as soon as we were there to pick up. Doesn't do this at the new daycare |

Provider: Easter Seals Angle Lake Center | Child's Age: 2 |
I am not eligible for a subsidy and this is the cost in Seattle for daycare. I've shopped around and a home daycare will save you arouand $100. My child has learned so much more from a structured classroom environment. From infant age until the time the child is accepted into the 2yr old class (e.t.a. depends on waiting list to that class)it's $1050/mo. |

This is a great daycare that supplies snacks for the kids and costs $30/day per child, which is as affordable as you can get. The teachers are great and the staff is great also. They have field trips and special days of activities. They also have a pre-school which is the same price. The hours in the summer when my kids go is 7-5:15 PM. |

Provider: In-home care | Child's Age: 6 months |
The difference between in-home care and childcare centers is very large, which led us to the in-home care option at least while our daughter is under 1 year of age. We will be moving her to Primrose after her birthday, which will increase our monthly payment to $1300.00/month. |

why would you pay this rather then hire a competent person to come to your home and keep the babies in their own environment...especially for this kind of money. There are "grandmothers" that would love to have this position with so much love to give.. |
